📍Today is , a reminder that rabies is nearly 100% fatal once symptoms appear—but also 100% preventable through vaccination. According to the , fewer than 10 people die each year in the US thanks to strong prevention programs, yet over 4,000 animals still test positive annually, mostly wildlife like bats, raccoons, skunks, and foxes.
🌍 Globally, rabies remains a crisis, killing an estimated 60,000 people every year, with 99% of human cases caused by dog bites.

🧡You may see nothing more than a room full of people, but the truth is these people are animal welfare warriors that dedicate every minute of every day to caring for, protecting, and advocating for the lives of homeless, abandoned, injured, diseased and displaced dogs and cats.
💛They are boots on the ground, showing up every day for animals in need and serving our communities in more ways than most people could ever imagine.
❤️Pause for a moment to give them thanks and appreciation.
