Today's class felt really rewarding. It was great to see the improvement and style definitions change and develop from the first painting to the last one that each student made. In a 4-hour span! We did three varied exercises (as well as arrange the flowers) and I encouraged people to ask me questions or speak up if it got hard, but no one stopped me. I think it you scroll through, you might be able to figure out the order in which they were painted. I took these overheads of each students work towards the end of class. I hope I didn't talk too much and that I made sense at least 50% of the time and that everyone loved what they did today. At least they'll have local flowers that will last a while!
All good!
The first photo is my very quick demo. Keep swiping to see the real work! This was a beginner class!

Hey! Mother's Day is coming up and you will be able to find us starting at 11am for a flower bar. For now, if you would like to order a bouquet for pick up, or curbside on Saturday in South City STL, DM for now and ordering will be possible by tomorrow (Sunday 10am). We are excited because our flowers we grew are included in the selection of almost perfect (what is ever perfect?) flowers. Hope to hear from you or see you.

The first iris I ever fell in love with. Makes me think of lemon meringue pie with a mile high meringue. And all the grandmothers.
The list of to-dos gets longer and longer as the season advances. Thinking of a farm workday with a BBQ and a tomato share coupon. Just trying to keep things in order one day at a time.
Here's to spring!

That's the farm we are working on. Always seems like things are going slow and then bam! All the weeds appear! I was pulling them out by the roots yesterday and that's about that. But yeah, things seem slow going and we are looking for ways to expand the farm. Holler!
