Today I’m spending the day at Pride St. Charles, and honestly, regional Pride events will always have a special place in my heart.

St. Charles is a suburb just outside St. Louis. It’s not the first place people think of when they picture Pride, and that’s exactly why events like this matter so much. Pride isn’t just for big cities. It’s for every LGBTQIA+ kid, parent, ally, and community member who deserves to know they belong exactly where they are. In a time when LGBTQIA+ people continue to face attacks on our rights and our visibility, showing up matters.

And while we’re talking about supporting the community, a reminder that through June 30, every purchase from The Woke Collection helps give back. A portion of proceeds from my collection is being donated to Free Mom Hugs, an incredible organization providing love, support, advocacy, and resources to LGBTQIA+ people and their families.

If you’ve been thinking about grabbing a shirt, hat, or other gear, now is a great time. You get something fun to wear, and together we help support an organization doing meaningful work for our community.

Happy Pride, friends. 🏳️‍🌈❤️🏳️‍⚧️
