CBS is thrilled to announce the completion of a new warehouse facility at Wasco Electric Cooperative, Inc. in Grass Valley, Oregon.

Wasco Electric Cooperative is a member-owned nonprofit electric cooperative that provides electricity to rural communities across Wasco, Sherman, Jefferson, Gilliam, and Wheeler counties. It maintains more than 1,600 miles of electric distribution lines across a service territory of over 5,000 square miles.

After operating for decades out of aging facilities with limited infrastructure, Wasco Electric Cooperative recognized the need for a modern facility that could better support both its employees and the members it serves. CBS partnered closely with the cooperative to design and deliver a new 2,800 square-foot warehouse built to improve operational efficiency and functionality. The new facility was thoughtfully equipped to accommodate increased traffic, support essential equipment, and provide the infrastructure needed to meet the cooperative’s growing demands for years to come.

At Fayette Electric Cooperative, maintaining efficient and organized facilities is a priority — and CBS is proud to support those efforts through our Facility Management Program.

CBS was honored to serve as the title sponsor of the 2026 Berkeley Electric Bright Ideas 5K at Cypress Gardens.

This year’s sold-out event welcomed more than 500 registrations and saw a record number of runners cross the finish line - all in support of local educators and students across the Lowcountry region of South Carolina. Together, the event raised an incredible $55,000 for the Bright Ideas Education Grant program, helping fund innovative classroom projects and awarding grants to 50 deserving educators.

We’re proud to support our friends at Berkeley Electric Cooperative, Inc. and their continued investment in education. Over the past decade, the Bright Ideas program has contributed more than $250,000 to classrooms throughout the tri-county area, making a lasting impact on students and teachers alike.

Team members from CBS and our valued partners at Cuivre River Electric Cooperative, Inc. recently joined forces to collect supplies for Bridge of Hope Lincoln County.

Bridge of Hope is a nonprofit organization providing housing and resources to individuals and families in Lincoln County, Missouri.

After successfully partnering with Medina Electric Cooperative, Inc. on the development of their headquarters and district office, CBS was proud to collaborate with the cooperative once again - this time to design and build their new Operations Center in Hondo, Texas.

Founded in 1938, Medina EC serves more than 18,000 members across over 36,000 meters and maintains more than 10,000 miles of line throughout a 10,750 square-mile region in South Texas. As the cooperative experienced continued growth, the need arose to expand the Operations Center to better support logistics with the TEC warehouse, increase vehicle storage, add employee parking and office space, and enhance member-facing areas.

Following a comprehensive Facility Planning Study, CBS designed and delivered a new 10,500 square foot warehouse and a 10,000 square foot vehicle storage facility, along with conversion of the existing warehouse into renovated office space. The project was completed on schedule, allowing Medina EC staff to maintain daily operations seamlessly throughout construction.

CBS values its ongoing partnership with Medina EC and looks forward to supporting the cooperative’s future growth for years to come.
