Are you feeling tired? π΄ Yeah, I understand. Sometimes it can feel like trying to see through a windshield covered in bug crap. ππ© Yeah I get it, the fog is real. As a Christian, I've realized that knowing true things doesn't always align with experiencing the abundant life on the inside. ππ
That's why I want to invite you to something special. In just over a week, Travis and I are hosting an online workshop on the 22nd at 7:30pm ET. ππ This workshop will help everyone, including ourselves, establish healthy rhythms in five key areas of life: Physical, Spiritual, Emotional, Relational, and Vocational.

If you have an avoidant attachment, your reaction to stress and conflict is to βmove away.β This can show up in any number of behaviors, and one big one is getting quiet. Usually this is because youβre feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and/or as if no matter what you say it wonβt be right. The downside of course is that all your partner sees is you going away.
Give this some thought and see if it fits. If so, have a conversation with your partner. Shine some light on it. Try letting your partner in on what they might not otherwise be able to see. β€οΈ
*I regret that I have to say this every time I make a post about avoidant attachment, but anybody who makes negative comments about those with avoidant attachment, overtly or stealth, will be removed from the account. It is no more difficult to be in a relationship with someone with an avoidant attachment than it is with an anxious attachment, but those with anxious attachment are more vocal about it.

Hey friends, it has been one year since I began taking clients using the Guided PACE Program. π±πΏπ² I am touched and honored to walk along side couples as individuals in their journey toward wholeness. Experiences of marital conflicts, parenting challenges, and individual traumas lead my clients to seek coaching services. My specialized training in attachment theory, an Enneagram & Marriage coaching certification, as well as the nueroscience π§ education of Polyvagal Theory has given me endless tools and practices to help in making big shifts internally.
β€οΈ My amazing husband Travis and some dear friends helped me along the way. Friends that encouraged me were Meredith, Rissa, Courtney, Sarah Hock, Debbie, Jasmine, Sarah McCrory, Angela and Christa to name a few. Your belief in me goes a long way. Then, Julie, Ryan, and Danny who helped with the program edits and videos. π» None of this was created alone.
π€ My Guided PACE program serves as a reference tool for clients to remember what their work is. And My God, the lover of all souls, who sees and knows, walks alongside all of us to guide and direct us toward the βstate of Shalom.β It is the ultimate collaborative process!!

But what the heck, Itβs ok if it is not your thing. ππ»ββοΈ However, you might know someone who needs an ally on the journey toward wholeness. π€ An ally who is grounded in prayer and some solid theories that will help them get into the driver seat of their own emotions and experiences. Maybe I could be that for them. π€·π»ββοΈ
ππ» I always give people a π 30 minute discovery zoom session to see if we are a good fit. And if you are a friend here, and share this post, I will gladly give you a whole hour for your enneagram assessment, or whatever you need completely free. β‘οΈ I really donβt do this for $$.
I completely believe it is my calling to share the things that βοΈ God has equipped me with to become emotionallly regulated and believe truth, not the automatic constructs of my personality. When we realize that our bodies were created to protect us from emotional hurts and other types of trauma, then we realize why these protective parts seem to run the show. We can actually work with these defenders and remind them we are in fact safe to step forward, be brave and trust others.

Awareness of patterns can be simply mapping the Polyvagal Basic States in the nervous system along the vagal nerve. What each feels like. Then you can access regulating tools to move up the ladder toward the ventral state.
