Erbs Management Group is seeking a full-time location self storage property manager who is highly motivated and ambitious to work with our team from the ground up. Our site manager will be on-site in the facility’s front office to assist customers and oversee the storage operation.

Responsibilities:

· Manage the day to day operations of the sites

· Provide on-site assistance to current and new customers

· Assist customers in renting storage units and with any questions they may have

· Guide new customers through rental processes and agreements including individual storage insurance agreements

· Sell merchandise, moving and packaging supplies

· Ensure the facility meets the high cleanliness and curb appeal standards. This includes cleaning units, sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs and other basic general maintenance duties.

· Run errands for the facility and travel as necessary

· Organization with data-entry and recordkeeping

· Manage, verify, balance cash drawer and prepare deposits

Qualifications:

· Experience in storage facility management, retail sales, or customer service is preferred but not required

· Excellent customer service skills

· Attention to detail

· Organizational and time management skills

· Willingness to work outside, clean units and maintain grounds

· Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation is required

· Basic computer skills and ability to work with our third-party storage software

· Ability to work weekends

· Ability to work independently for extended periods of time

· Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment

Today we added Alligator Self Storage in Carbondale, Illinois. This 57,000sf+ facility in Southern Illinois has a mix of climate-controlled and traditional drive-up units. We are looking forward to modernizing and streamlining the operations for the new owners.
