Thank you to .fenske and for featuring our group and help spread the message! Citizens and visitors alike on both sides of the river are being forced to exist with toxic air. It doesn’t have to be that way and we are demanding better. Article link in our bio!

This weekend (Saturday 9/28) there is a community engagement event hosted by the EPA. This meeting is concerning the permit renewal process for the Veolia waste incinerator located in Sauget, IL. See link in bio. Tickets are free. We hope to see you on Saturday!

MTATF is now Breathe Better STL. We are continuing our efforts to take aim at any “bad actors” who are actively, and knowingly polluting our air with toxic materials. As we approach the hearing for Veolia’s permit renewal, we wanted a fresh name.

Breathe Better STL is happy to announce that we have joined forces with the United Congregations of the Metro East. UMC is a formal organization from the east side of the river who has been in this fight long before us. This partnership will allow us better resources and grow the numbers in the effort for clean and safe air. Please see the links in our bio for more information.

This meeting is a first step of communication via the EPA on how to better engage and inform the community on the on the Veolia permitting process.

The clock starts now for residents to take action. Email [email protected] and ask to receive updates on this application renewal for public hearings etc. See link in bio for more documentation. Reach out to your congress person and express your concerns!
