🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day! 🇺🇸

On June 14, 1777, the U.S. adopted the Stars and Stripes as its official flag—an emblem not just of our nation, but of the ideals that hold it together.

The flag represents our commitment to democracy and is a reminder that freedom isn't just inherited—it's protected, shaped, and strengthened by engaged citizens.

Have you heard of conflict coaching? It is a service we offer that works a little differently that mediation. In fact, it's an alternative to mediation when you are experiencing conflict, but you are the only party ready or willing to come to the table for mediation.

Conflict coaching is a one-on-one session between someone experiencing conflict and a trained facilitator known as a “coach.” The conflict coach is a neutral, third-party, who does not take sides, give advice, or advocate for any particular course of action. Instead, they work with you to help you gain clarity about the situatin, explore options to navigate the conflict more effectively, and make your own decisions about the dispute. Along the way, you will develop skills that could help you as you move forward after the conflict coaching session.

Start by visiting crcstl.org/conflictcoaching and check out the video of our amazing volunteer, Pastor Denise Belton (a CRCSTL Conflict Coach & Mediator), as she walks you through more about what conflict coaching is and how it might be able to help in your situation.

Six years ago, our Executive Director, Wolf joined Team CRCSTL. And we're so glad they did! Since that time, they've grown into an incredible community resource - both in their personal and professional lives - leading with empathy and kindness. They never hesitate to give their time and unbelievable talents, and we have all benefited from that dedication and heart.

Wolf strives for more peaceful workplaces, and our clients have benefitted from Wolf's impressive trainings on workplace conflict and de-escalation. Wolf's "secret weapon" for addressing workplace conflict is the same one they use to lead CRCSTL: giving necessary time and space for people to be heard and digest information, and then understanding how to get folks to look inside themselves.

Happy 'workaversary' Wolf! 🎉

We love a heartwarming client success story that ends with a keeping folks housed!

We at CRCSTL believe wholeheartedly in the process of mediation. And stories like this are so important because they show people - like this landlord and tenant - that mediation can bring people together to work through a conflict and come to a solution that benefits both parties. Scroll through the slides to get the full story! 💜
