We had a great time at our architecture event the other night, but it's already time to plan for our next show(s)! Next weekend (4/24-26) some of our club members will be at Brick Days - Omaha in Council Bluffs, Iowa, hosted by our friends in LOLUG - Lincoln/Omaha LEGO User Group, while others will be returning to one of our favorite show: Anime St. Louis at the St. Charles Convention Center. Even if you don't want to make the drive to Iowa, we would love to see you at Anime St. Louis!

Come see us TONIGHT at our St. Louis Architecture event hosted by The American Institute of Architects St. Louis Chapter! Will you and your K-12 kids get to see St. Louis landmarks built out of LEGO bricks? Yes! Will you get to build your own landmarks with our play brick and graffiti boards? Yes! Will you get to take home your own arch skyline kit? Only if you're one of the first 50 families who register!

Have you built something cool out of LEGO bricks and want to show it off in person to 12,000+ people? You have two options:
1) Spend hundreds of dollars on lodging, registration, and travel to display at BrickWorld Chicago in June.
2) Join our club for free!
We had over 12,000 people come through our display at the Way of Lights this year, and we'd love to include your builds in future displays.
Our January meeting will be held online on Thursday night, January 22nd at 7:30 PM, so it's the perfect time to get to know us without having to commit to a Saturday afternoon. The link to join the conference call will be posted to our website the day of the meeting: https://www.gtwlug.org/schedule/

So you may have found all 31 Beakers in our display at the Way of Lights, but did you find all the Batmen? He is vengeance, he is the night, but he won't be here for much longer. You have 5 more days to see us before we pack it all up; New Year's Eve (December 31st) is our last night. Make sure you're one of the 10,000+ people to see our best display yet! It's the display you deserve AND the display you need right now.

A new record! Last night 687 people came through our display at the Way of Lights at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville! Just a reminder that we're open tonight, 12/23, but our display will be closed on Christmas Eve (12/24) and Christmas Day (12/25) so that our various minifigs, minidolls, and Beakers can spend time with their loved ones.
We are open from 12/26 through 12/31, so you still have seven more nights to see our fabulous display before we tear it down and take our monorails back from whence we came.

Only 7 days until Christmas, and only 12 days left to see our display at the Way of Lights in the Visitors Center of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville! Just a reminder that we are closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but all other days through New Year's Eve we are OPEN from 5 to 9 PM and excited to show you all of our fantastic builds!

If you arrive late in the evening for our display at the Way of Lights, stick around for a special treat. Along with crowd levels being generally lower, at around 8:55 we often turn out the overhead lights so that our lit displays really pop. It’s a great photo opportunity and magical ending to a fun evening at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows!

KSDK Channel 5 came out to see us at the Way of Lights, have you? Open every night 5-9 PM through December 31st, except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We're in the Visitors Center at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows (along with some great performances, decorated Christmas trees, and wreaths).

Thanks to the 1200+ of you who have already seen our display at the Way of Lights! We have tracked nightly attendance for the past 8 years, and traditionally our lowest crowd level of the season is the Monday after Thanksgiving. This is a great opportunity to visit if you have a friend or family member who is sensitive to large crowds or if you just want extra time to take in every detail and chat with club members, as there should be at least two of us in attendance every night to answer questions and share our love of LEGO!

While our display at the Way of Lights is underway and already a huge success, we also completed our charitable giving for the calendar year. With these final three deliveries to St. Louis Children's Hospital, Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, and Mercy Children's Hospital St. Louis, made last Thursday, we achieved our goal of donating new and unopened LEGO sets to 5 different area children's hospitals this year, at an approximate value of $1000 each, along with our donation to Yeatman-Liddell College Preparatory Middle School. Thanks to Karen, our charity coordinator, for playing Santa!
