🚀 Launch Pad is taking off!

Launch Pad is our NEW after-school program designed to help middle school students grow in confidence, skills, and purpose through academic support, mentoring, and hands-on learning experiences.

Last Saturday was a great day at the Race for Reconciliation 5K! 🏃‍♀️

Thank you to everyone who ran on behalf of Restored For More and to those who volunteered at the event. Your support helps us continue empowering students through tutoring and mentoring across St. Louis.

We're grateful to be part of a community committed to reconciliation, unity, and making a difference.

Last summer, Restored For More placed 7 high-impact, high-dosage tutors at 4 summer camps across St. Louis. This summer, we've expanded to 12 tutors serving 11 summer camps—nearly doubling the number of students receiving critical literacy support.

This growth means more students are receiving the individualized support they need to strengthen their reading skills and prevent the summer reading slide.

A special thank you to Turn the Page STL for partnering with us to make this expansion possible. Together, we're increasing access to high-quality literacy support for students across our region.

In October, he struggled to identify some letters.

By the end of the year, he proudly read the sentence: “Wow! I got a new lunch box!”—all by himself.

Moments like these remind us why high-impact tutoring matters. Behind every reading milestone is a student gaining confidence, a tutor investing faithfully, and a future filled with new possibilities.

Summer Tutoring is underway! ☀️📚

Restored For More is partnering with Turn the Page STL, Hope Education, and 10 summer camps to provide high-impact, high-dosage tutoring to students across St. Louis this summer.

Our tutors are helping students strengthen literacy skills, build confidence, and prevent the summer slide—setting them up for success in the school year ahead!

Here are a few opportunities to get involved in the Greater St. Louis community this month:

🏃‍♀️ Race for Reconciliation 5K — Saturday, June 13
Join the community in a meaningful run or walk supporting Restored For More and other local organizations like St. Louis Reconciliation Network, Civil Righteousness, A Seat at the Table, and many more!

🏓 Pickleball for a Purpose
Play pickleball in support of Archway Refugee Connections, a valued partner helping refugee families build connection, language skills, and stability in St. Louis.

Come move, connect, and make an impact right here in our city.

One tutor. Ten students. Real reading growth.

At another one of our after-school partner sites, high-impact tutoring made a measurable difference this year:
• 90% of students increased words read per minute
• 90% improved reading accuracy (average gain: 24%)
• 50% increased their grade-level percentile
• 6 students went from not reading any words to reading basic CVC letters by year’s end

This is what consistent, relationship-based tutoring can do—small group support, steady encouragement, and students who start to believe in what they can achieve.

A few hours can make a lifetime of difference.

This fall, we are looking for caring adults to mentor and tutor middle school students one afternoon each week at our after school program. Whether you're helping with homework, building confidence, or simply showing up consistently, your presence matters.
