A flare-up is a period of intense pain that is more severe than typical chronic pain. It can last for hours, days, or weeks and often occurs without a predictable pattern, coming on suddenly and with little warning, making it challenging and distressing to manage. These can be incredibly challenging, both physically and emotionally.β€π¦β€
