I GOT APPROVED FOR A BOOTH AT TOWER GROVE PRIDE!!!

Last evening I joined a GOOSE RESCUE!!

This injured guy was limping and unable to take off. My friend and I were close by getting coffee, so we responded and waited for my main wildlife rescue contact to arrive so we could begin the trap.

It is a wonderful feeling to be trusted within the rescue community to help animals. This is an honor, and one that I dont take lightly.

Animals are in danger because of us, and only us can save them 💜

Day one of class has come and gone! I started the day with a bit of a hike, doing homework, and ended it hanging out with a fellow groomer while we snack and look at cows ✌️💜🐮

Class went very well. Mary Oquendo is a fantastic instructor and I feel prepared to save your pet's lives.

2 hours until I walk to class, so im doing some homework to pass the time.

It's beautiful here, cold but beautiful.

Back in February I took in my former street cat, Toes, who i had been caring for the last 7 years. He had a neck wound that was difficult to heal and tested positive for FIV.

Today, I said goodbye to my gentleman.

I names him Toes because he made the tiniest little biscuits at the door when it was time to eat. I had an antique bell that I rung when it was time for his meals, that is if he wasnt already waiting.

He was truly a kind guy. With his first wound I took him to the vet for, I made a poultis to help it heal and relieve pain and inflammation, and would you believe me if I told you he let me hold it on him?

When I walked the dogs, he would follow along, crossing the street and hanging around with my crew, like it was his walk too- except he was off leash.

He's lived in my bathroom the last few months and has been a constant in my life. He discovered sitting on the ledge of the tub, knocking plants over, and how snug and awesome the space between the washer and dryer was. For a former street cat, he sure was picky! He never liked the same food long, which is crazy because what kind of variety do strays get?

This was very unexpected, his FIV and suspected lymphoma moved fast.
