For the past seven years, the St. Louis Section of the ASME has hosted a student design event where students present on their work towards a design competition. This year we will hold the event in-person on the WashU campus. We expect the event to last approximately one to two hours and we will have pizza and soft drinks for those who attend.
We would like to invite ASME Student Sections, Design-Build-Fly groups, Formula SAE, Human-Powered Vehicle and any other groups that may have been involved in working on a design project to give a ~10 minute presentation at our event. Interesting capstone (senior design) projects are also welcome. Students from all St. Louis area schools (such as SLU, WUSTL, MS&T, SIUE, and UMSL) are invited to present.
Please email [email protected] if you would like to present. Be sure to include your group name, what school you are from, how many will attend (with emails), and what your names are (for announcing teams). RSVP below as well (once per group is fine) so that we know how much pizza to get.
Please forward this information to any other groups who might be interested in presenting as well. We do rely to some extent on word of mouth to promote our events.
For those interested in attending but not presenting, please register at http://tiny.cc/ASMESTL_SDC. This is required so that we know how much food to get.
We hope to see you soon!
