K9 Qlark’s Nose Puts Two Behind Bars

On February 28, 2024 at approximately 11pm, Deputy Cole Boatright and his K9 partner Qlark were on patrol in the area of Silver St. and Main St. in Sullivan. Deputy Boatright conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple traffic infractions.

During the traffic stop several criminal indicators were noted and Sheriff K9 Qlark was deployed. A subsequent probable cause search led to the arrest of two men.

Ryan Stevens of Sullivan was arrested and booked into the Sullivan County Jail on the charges of Possession of Methamphetamine Level 5 Felony and Dealing a Controlled Substance Level 3 Felony

David Haviland of Oaktown was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Level 6 Felony and Possession of Paraphernalia Class C Misdemeanor

All persons accused of a crime are presumed innocent, unless proven guilty in a court of law.
