Little Treasures Childcare

This weather is gloomy but we are making the best of it!
Can't wait to get out the water play.... Surprisingly the kids haven't asked about it yet. 😂

It took a while with the break I took to focus on the needs of my youngest for a bit, but we've finally filled all our spots back up!

Sometimes it's very busy & chaotic, but mostly.... it's just a home full of love, laughter and joy! I am really enjoying getting to know the amazing little humans that have joined our little daycare family recently, and continuing to watch the others learn and grow.

I'm SOOO excited for summer, warm weather, and all the activities that we have planned! 🥰

P. S. One of the most heart warming parts, is getting all the cuddles and snuggles that I no longer get from my own kids 😂

Seeing that each child is comfortable, and willingly runs to me for comfort when they get hurt, if they feel sad, or just simply want snuggles and affection, is the best feeling. Being their safe space while mommy & daddy are working hard for their babies, is an honor that I don't take lightly. ❤️

Our sweet old man had to be put down unexpectedly on Wednesday night. Diesel has not only been a part of our family, but our DAYCARE family. He loved and protected every single child who walked through our door. He was the GENTLEST giant..... He got his tail and ears pulled, he literally got ridden like a horse, but he never seemed bothered. He never growled. He was literally the best, most well behaved dog in the whole entire world. How lucky were we, to be blessed with such an incredible dog.

This was my first time losing a pet, and it's such a rough grieving process. But it's nice to have these sweethearts to help keep me distracted, and give me all the love and snuggles.

Rest In Peace our sweet boy. Until we meet again 😭💔

He's the HAPPIEST baby 🥹😍

This kid has got to stop, because he is killing me with these smiles 😭🥰

Garrett is one of THE smartest kids I have ever met.

He's obsessed with numbers & planets, and can tell you so many amazing facts. He can add & multiply numbers like no other kid his age! He has always impressed me with his wit!

So what do we do?
We try our best to incorporate things of each child's own personal interests.

We print out pictures of planets to color. We get a bunch of rocks, and paint those like planets - all while he tells me which one is the coldest, hottest, largest, smallest. 🌎🪐

We give pop quizzes to each other on math problems.

And one of my favorites - at his request, we listen to "BLUE (Da Ba Dee) & Kpop Demon Hunters songs **METAL VERSION** You heard that right.
