We fought valiantly and campaigned hard. I am so proud of my team, everyone who canvassed, and myself for doing this. While we did not secure the nomination, we put ourselves out there and spread the word about important issues. I had the amazing opportunity to meet community members, talk with them about what matters to them, and to make a real difference without even being elected.
I will never stop fighting for you. I will continue to work with legislators whenever I can to help protect our community. I will remain on the front lines and will keep showing up for you.
Happy Election Day! Please make sure your ballot is turned in by 8pm tonight! Do NOT mail your ballot today, it will not be postmarked on time because our mail is not postmarked until it reaches Portland now. Instead, take your ballot to a ballot drop box or directly to the county elections office.

One last endorsement before Election Day! has officially endorsed me as of last night. I am honored to have their support. I have fought for our school employees and will continue to do so both locally and at the state level.
Yes, it’s all on the backs of volunteers. The hardest work is being done by wonderful people from our community. These are people who stood next to me, unpaid, while we fought to build a union. We were unpaid as we spent countless hours working against Flock.
We’re unpaid when we march in the streets, when we demand justice, and when we speak in solidarity. This is the nature of community organizing. We don’t do it for the money and we never do it alone.
This is the power generated by a movement that’s excited and hopeful. This is who will turn out when we don’t shy away in fear from Democratic Socialism. These people take time out of their days to volunteer because they believe in a better future.
Support corporations with the community’s hard-earned donations? Ew…
Reminder that I don’t do digital advertising! Your feed won’t be clogged up with unsolicited ads for my campaign. I don’t give money to Meta or any other digital advertising companies because I don’t think you should need to in order to get the word out about something you care about. I will make a difference in this community without giving a penny to Meta. That’s not something other candidates can say.

Tonight, the movement keeps going long after the last door is knocked.

Ky Fireside is exactly the kind of bold leadership Springfield needs right now: someone ready to defend our rights, stand with working people, and fight fear with community power.

📣 Shoutout to everyone who joined for canvassing yesterday! We knocked a ton of doors and had some really great conversations with community members. We’ll be back out there today.

🤫 P.S. Since a few people whose doors we’ve knocked have asked, none of my canvassers are being paid. All of my canvassers are VOLUNTEERS! They do this because they care about our community and they genuinely want to help put someone who will make a real difference in office. I don’t need to pay anyone to talk me up, these folks are here because they want to be.

It was wonderful to see so many friendly faces and to be able to answer questions from the people I am doing all this for: the community. If you were there today, thank you!
