On Saturday, 8 Pershing students competed at the NASP State Archery Tournament in Branson, Missouri. Please congratulate the following archers for shooting well and many scoring their personal best scores:

Special shoutout to Jake Willis and Emerson Hutchison, who tied for 11th place in the state out of 1,020 middle school boys with scores of 286 out of 300!

Pershing students in grades 4-8 finished reading Good Different this week for our One School, One Book! Every student had received a copy at the beginning of second semester thanks to a generous grant from the Foundation for SPS.

To celebrate completing the novel, the author of the book, Meg Eden Kuyatt, will be visiting Pershing in person on Monday, March 25 to speak with our students! We can't wait to hear from her about writing the book and the inspiration behind Selah's story.
