What do you want to see the County Commission prioritize over the next 3-5 years?
I’ll go first. Reducing crime, workforce development and higher paying jobs.

It’s my birthday today! Can’t think of a better way to celebrate than getting my vote in early.
If you live a busy life like I do, take advantage of early voting and avoid the lines on Election Day.
Oh, and vote Sorg for County Commission. 🙂

Clark County has always been my home. I grew up here, graduated from Southeastern High School and Wittenberg University.
My husband is a local attorney and former county prosecutor, and together we’re raising our family in Clark County. Our three daughters attend Southeastern Schools, and I care deeply about ensuring this community thrives for them and for all families who call Clark County home.
For more than a decade, I’ve worked in leadership roles across the nonprofit, financial, and civic sectors. I currently serve as Director of Revenue and External Partnerships for a national nonprofit that promotes transparency and accountability in state and federal government.
I’ve also had the privilege of serving as Director of Development at the Springfield Foundation, where I worked alongside community organizations to expand opportunities for local families and improve quality of life in Clark County.
I’ve been proud to give back as a board member and secretary of Rocking Horse Community Health Center, a founding member of the Springfield Public Art Committee (spearheading the “Greetings from Springfield” mural), a former Rotary Club member, and a member of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
I’m running because I believe Clark County deserves leadership that is transparent, fiscally responsible, and focused on both immediate needs and our long-term future. My background in financial economics and my master’s in philanthropy and nonprofit development have taught me how to make every dollar count and how to bring people together to get things done.
I hope to earn your support so we can work together to make Clark County stronger, smarter, and more connected for everyone who calls it home.
Skill comes from discipline.
Whether it’s shooting or managing money, the process is the same.
Both take practice and patience. Both take the ability to stay focused when it matters. You can’t rely on luck. You build confidence and expertise by putting in the work over time.
That’s how I approach financial responsibility. It’s not a talking point, it’s something I’ve practiced throughout my career and my life. Making thoughtful decisions, being accountable, and staying consistent.

I just registered my youngest for kindergarten today, (Go Trojans!) and it reminded me how important it is to invest in our youth if we truly care about Clark County’s future.
Our schools are funded through taxes, and the decisions made by county commissioners, especially around tax abatements, can have significant impacts on school funding and quality. Those decisions can create economic opportunities, but they can also create challenges if we aren’t thinking about both the short term and long term effects.
As a community, we can’t afford to only react to immediate needs. We need to be proactive and thoughtful, making decisions with long term outcomes in mind.
As your commissioner, I will always prioritize education, school funding, and workforce training when considering any decision that affects our community’s future.

Thank you Leadership Clark County for hosting yesterday’s Meet the Candidates debate.
We covered a range of topics, including what we consider to be the biggest needs facing Clark County, how we plan to attract new industries, and how we would manage the county’s budget.
From my perspective, that means focusing on higher paying jobs and diverse economic development, building workforce training partnerships with new employers, and prioritizing public safety while taking a closer look at where we can save on current county finances.
If you’d like to hear all the questions and candidate responses, you can check out the recording in my previous post.
