For 2026, the Missouri Craft Brewers Guild is brewing “Tried N’ True,” a series of four time-tested beer styles for this year’s Missouri Loves Company® collaboration project. Brewers from across the Show-Me State come together quarterly to brew a beer together, with host breweries selecting the style and participants collaborating via video conference to dial in the recipe.

The Tried N’ True Series continues with a classic German-style Dortmunder Lager brewed by the team at Stockyards Brewing Company in Kansas City.

This smooth, golden lager showcases the balanced character that made the traditional German style famous — slightly sweet malt up front with subtle notes of fresh bread and honey, rounded out by a crisp finish and gentle floral hop bitterness. Medium-bodied and exceptionally drinkable, this 5.4% ABV lager delivers clean fermentation character, soft carbonation, and a refreshing snap that keeps you coming back for another sip.

Brewed with love and rooted in collaboration, the Missouri Loves Company® series celebrates the friendships, partnerships, and shared passion that unite Missouri’s independent craft brewing community. From brewhouse to pint glass, this beer is a reminder that great things happen when breweries come together to create something Tried N’ True.

Look for the Dortmunder Lager in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans at participating breweries starting Wednesday, June 24, 2026. And as always—get it while you can. Once it’s gone, it’s gone!

This is a free meetup and all you have to do is show up - no need to signup anywhere!

Our lovely friend Kate is leading this meetup while our normal hiking enthusiast, Paige, is on the road for the month of June. And she'll hand out drink tickets that get you $2 off any drink after the hike.

We'll be meeting back at the Fremont Hills location, where we will hang out, chat and make fast friends with other women who love the outdoors! We'll have Eloraines Jamaican Kitchen food truck there starting at noon and you can get food on your way back into town!
