From a "Welcome Event" in 2023 to pitching AI at British Airways—my Enactus journey has been a whirlwind! 🌪️
I’m so proud of how far The Care Cupboard has come, but I didn't get here alone. This journey has been fueled by a community of changemakers who believed in the vision. Huge thanks to Nicola for the guidance in planning, and to every friend and teammate who stepped up to help me expand this project. You are all changemakers in your own right
Together, we’ve:
• 🏆 Won £750 and 2nd place at the AIG/Sodexo pitch.
• 📰 Been featured across University news and media outlets.
• ☕ Partnered with No. 10 Coffee.
• 🚀 Launched our latest event with the support of a brilliant social media team.

Being a changemaker is about more than just a project; it’s about the people you empower along the way. Thank you for giving me the space to grow, to pitch to industry leaders, and to help impact the journeys of other students. Here’s to the next chapter of making a difference! 🥂

I can’t believe I’m saying this but… I’ve been nominated for Changemaker of the Year at the 2026 Enactus Awards! 🏆

What a journey it’s been. From managing finance through Young Enterprise, to starting and running the Care Cupboard, pitching to AIG and Sodexo, and attending events at British Airways — I genuinely never imagined it would lead to this.

Tomorrow is the big day and I am equal parts nervous and excited. 😅

To everyone who has supported me, believed in the Care Cupboard, and been part of this journey — this nomination is for you too.

Crisis shouldn’t stop learning. Our goal is simple: “Students should be hungry for knowledge, not food.”

We’re not just offering food; we’re connecting students with essential support (finance and wellbeing) and tackling food waste with partners like Sainsbury’s.

You’re Invited! Join us for the official launch of the Care Cupboard!

The Care Cupboard is a new project from Enactus Huddersfield, tackling two crucial issues: food insecurity and food waste. Through our partnership with Neighbourly, we’ll be collecting surplus food from Aldi, Lidl, and Sainsbury’s and distributing it to our community.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn how you can make a difference. We’ll have representatives from various university departments with their own stalls, so you can explore different ways to get involved and contribute to a more sustainable future.
