🇺🇸 Today we remember the brave men who charged onto the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

As a veteran, I've experienced what it's like to leave home, say goodbye to your family, and step into uncertainty in service to something greater than yourself. I have a deep respect for anyone who answers that call.

But what those young men faced on D-Day was sacrifice on a scale few of us can truly comprehend. They stepped off those landing craft into unimaginable danger, knowing many would never see home again. Through their courage, determination, and selflessness, they changed the course of history and helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today.

Eighty-two years later, we honor their legacy, remember their sacrifice, and recommit ourselves to being worthy of what they gave for us.

To the Greatest Generation: thank you. We will never forget. 🇺🇸🪖

Today is a bit of a full-circle moment for me. Almost exactly one year ago, the loan officer standing beside us in this photo was a client of mine Taylor Kite. After being away from Springfield for nearly 10 years, I had the privilege of helping him move back home from Arizona with his family. 🌵➡️🏡

Now, a year later, we're working together to help others achieve their dream of homeownership right here in the Ozarks. 🤝🏠

🇺🇸🏠 Realtor Adventure Log 🏠🇺🇸

This weekends mission took me into a house that looked normal from the outside... but inside? 🤣

🚪 Found what I can only describe as the world's shallowest closet. My hand is literally the depth of the closet.

🧙‍♂️ The bathroom had me feeling like Gandalf visiting the Shire. I'm 5'10", and my head was about one bad posture decision away from becoming part of the ceiling.

🕳️ Then came a few of those "well, I guess we're going in there" areas that every Realtor gets to experience sooner or later. Not exactly where I'd choose to spend a Saturday, but that's part of the job.

The good news? Once I squeezed, ducked, crawled, and inspected my way through the place, everything checked out just fine. 👍

People see the pretty listing photos, but they don't always see the crawling through crawlspaces, bumping heads, squeezing into tiny rooms, and investigating every nook and cranny that comes with helping clients make informed decisions.

Another day. Another mission. Another story. 🇺🇸💪🏠

🇺🇸🏡 “Every day in real estate is an adventure,” they said…

Well folks, this weekend turned into a full-blown tactical operation across Southern Missouri. 😂

📍 Nearly 400 miles driven
📍 16 hours behind the wheel
📍 More gravel roads than I thought existed in America
📍 One “road” that literally turned into a trail in the woods 🌲🦌

At one point, GPS basically hit me with:
“Good luck, soldier.” 🫡

I spent the weekend deep in off-grid country showing beautiful farms, homesteads, and acreage where your closest neighbor is a solid 5-minute drive away. REAL country living. 🚜🌾

Along the way I:
✔️ Rode a side-by-side across 200 gorgeous acres
✔️ Pet a donkey 🫏
✔️ Pet a horse 🐴
✔️ Hung out with baby goats 🐐
✔️ Pulled 12 ticks off myself 😑
✔️ Earned a couple chigger bites for my service 🇺🇸😂
✔️ Dodged approximately 10 turtles crossing backroads 🐢
✔️ Stopped and moved one little guy off the road like a responsible citizen 🫡
❌ Refused to go back for the giant snapping turtle that was roughly the size of my briefcase and looked fully capable of taking a finger as a souvenir 😳😂

Listen… I’m a veteran, not a wildlife biologist. That turtle was operating with hostile intent. 🤣

But honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

One of the coolest parts of this job is getting to see places and properties most people never even know exist. Every weekend is a new mission, a new adventure, and definitely NEVER boring. 😅

Today is very special to me as a veteran. 🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, I remember these nine men from my unit and the countless other men and women who have given their lives in service to this great country.

Today, I’ll be remembering my brothers and reflecting on the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy every day.
