Today's Tinkering:
Chainmaille Bortholes π€£
It's a take on my usual "Fidget Coins" that I make for sale and give to the Mental Health providers at my place of work for patients lol
3rd picture is of the usual Fidget Coins that I make - they have an additional center ring that helps the rings be kinda slinky and rolly. I've had some pretty great feedback with them since I started making them ~2 years ago :)

Tinker Twirl finished, along with some basic 6-color rainbow earrings... hopefully we'll get a nice day this coming week to get some outdoors pictures π₯°

Pictures don't do them justice - I need to get a good daylight picture...
If you can't tell, this is five different shades of blue/blue-green

WIP - Part 2
I think my FAFO method has led me to a new project with my beloved rainbow micromaille.... can't seem to put videos and pictures together unfortunately, so you might see another post of just pics...
So I started with a 2-2 base chain of Black Ice AA.
It slowly became a basic Japanese Stepping Stones, but in micromaille form - sorry not ready to share the ring sizes yet but I am working on making sure what I want to do goes right first...
I added all my current colors (36) minus the neutrals (black, black ice, white, silver)
- I have at least 2 more colors coming this week, as well 8-10 more to see how it looks mixing Matte & Shiny (I've been successful with mixing in the past)...
So, viola! I haven't had luck finding similar weave or made up of similar weaves out there, so for now, I'm calling it Tinker Gnome Twirl...or Tinker Gnome Twist, I can't decide which I like more π€
Feedback is appreciated βΊοΈ

WIP - Peacock Feather Earrings...
Tried to plan it out yesterday but I couldn't find the right "chainmaille grid" I needed for it, so I used a Brick Stitch (for Beadwork) sheet instead...
So far, I'm not completely following the planned design and mostly doing a lot of FAFO. Also, I'm not sure I like the Teal (also called Peacock by some jump ring vendors) color on the inside next to the green rings but I'm just gonna keep going with it and see where it goes...

Been wearing these on nearly a daily basis and I swear that I've been receiving 10+ compliments a day, plus the addition of astonishment from the person when I explain that I actually make them myself. Thanks to those out there who are familiar with me and my colorful work :)
I usually pull one of the earrings off so they can see them up close for the details and to give them a feel (aka they feel so cool), because they're done in micromaille (for the uniformed - that's chainmaille but with tinier than usual jump rings).
I adore these earrings and with the amount of folks who love them, I'm wondering if I should just try making a bunch this year to prep for 2027 - the rainbow being a signature Tinker Gnome Workshop piece. π€ I have a Rainbow Fidget Coin, similar color mix, which I feel is also a signature piece.
What color blend are folks interested in seeing so I don't keep constantly just going straight for the rainbow every time? π
