Huge congratulations to Bella Voce and the Reed Academy Singers for an incredible day at the Boys Choir of Springfield Festival! Both choirs delivered outstanding performances and brought home Gold trophies—the highest rating possible. We couldn't be prouder of how our students represented Reed Academy with their top-tier musicianship and professionalism! 🎶🏆

We were incredibly fortunate to welcome local composer Faith Zimmer and Kenny Kabak, director of Queen City Chorale, to Bella Voce!

What a successful weekend at the Worlds of Fun Choral Festival! Reed Academy Singers and Bella Voce traveled to Kansas City to perform at Worlds and Fun, and it was a “world of fun” 🤣. The singers spent the day riding roller coasters, eating good food, and singing! Both choirs got excellent ratings and amazing feedback from the clinicians. Congratulations singing beavers!

Congratulations to all of our singers who performed at the SPS Solo and Ensemble Festival yesterday at Hillcrest High School! They all sang beautifully, and we are so proud!

What a successful and fun day at the South Central MMEA District Honor Choir!

We had 25 students sing and represent Reed Academy today, and we are so proud. Way to go!!

What an incredible concert full of joy, beauty, light, and togetherness. The singers moved everyone, and all who attended left feeling inspired. This will be a concert we will remember for a long time!

Pretty amazing things are happening in Bella Voce! ✨🎶

Today we had the absolute honor of welcoming Susan LaBarr to our classroom! Susan is a renowned choral composer and editor right here in Springfield, with works performed by choirs around the world—including “Where the Light Begins,” which Bella Voce will perform at our Winter Concert. We were so grateful to have her share her artistry, insight, and passion with our singers. Thank you for inspiring us, Susan! 💛

Just two weeks ago, Bella Voce also traveled to Missouri State University to work with Dr. Erin Plisco and observe the MSU Women’s Chorus. Our singers learned so much from Dr. Plisco, then had the incredible opportunity to sit in with the Women’s Chorus—and even sing alongside them! Bella Voce had an absolute BLAST and loved every moment with these stunning collegiate musicians. Thank you, , for hosting us! 💐

Experiences like these are what choral singing is all about—community, connection, and making music together. We’re so proud of Bella Voce! 🌟

Happy late Thanksgiving!

We want to take a moment to celebrate some of our singing beavers. Last week we had 25 selected singers participate in the Springfield All City Honor Choir! These singers have been preparing the music for this event for about 2 months, and honor choir singers from all over Springfield came together to rehearse and prepare for the honor choir performance. It was such a fun day full of beautiful music, singing, hard work, laughter, and pizza. We are so proud!

And, we were so grateful to have the talented and amazing Kenny Kabak be our 2025 clinician. Thank you for working with our singers!

This was the BEST experience!

Bella Voce had the best day with Dr. Erin Plisco and the MSU Women’s Chorus, and left feeling deeply inspired❤️ Thank you for everything!

I am thrilled and overjoyed that Reed Academy have been selected for the Missouri Music Educator Association Conference in 2022. Each students that has been in this choir has worked so hard to make this group great each your. Well kiddos, your hard work has paid off! Now let’s show them thematic at Reed. Go Beavers!!!
