Rain or shine, snow or sleet, these dedicated students showed up every single day with big smiles, badges, and a commitment to keeping our school community safe. Whether they were helping friends cross the street or modeling excellent leadership in the hallways, we appreciate them!

Yesterday, our graduating Mustangs walked the hallways of West Springfield one last time, surrounded by cheers, smiles, and so much pride. What a special full-circle moment for our students, families, and staff.

We are so proud of how far they have come and cannot wait to see all they will accomplish next. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang!

Our Mustang musicians did an outstanding job showcasing their growth, hard work, and dedication in our EOY Music assemblies. It was a joy to hear how much they have learned this year and to see their confidence shine on stage.

A special thank you to our music teachers, families, and everyone who supported our students throughout the year. We are so proud of our performers and can’t wait to see how they continue to grow as musicians!

Field Day and our school-wide picnic were the perfect way to celebrate together as the school year winds down!

Our 4th–6th graders got their hands dirty for a great cause! West Springfield ES partnered with Fairfax County’s R3 program to install native plants by our playground storm drain.

Working with county stream ecologists, students learned how these plants protect our local watersheds by reducing stormwater runoff.

Our bike unit is underway!

We need more candy (preferably chocolate) for our staff candy bowl 😢 Donations would be appreciated!!!
