Spruce Hill Veterinary Clinic

Today’s special: one basket of extra fluffy chicken nuggets! 🧺🐶🍗

Meet Teddy! 🐾 At just under 2 pounds, he’s already stolen our hearts. Amelia and Talia were more than happy to give this tiny pup some extra cuddles! 🤍
✔️

Oliver came in with his dad today, and we couldn’t get over his adorable sweater featuring none other than Oliver himself! 🥹🐾💚 Talk about a proud pet parent! We think Oliver approves of his custom look. 🐶✨

🌈🐾 National Pet Memorial Day 🐾🌈

There are some patients we never forget.

The ones whose names we knew before we even looked at the schedule. The ones we watched grow from tiny puppies and kittens into gray-faced seniors. The ones who made us laugh, challenged us, trusted us, and somehow became a little piece of our hearts along the way.

And then there are the empty spaces.

The name we don’t see on the schedule anymore. The familiar face that won’t come walking through our doors again. The family coming in without the pet who was once always by their side.

Working in veterinary medicine means loving animals we know were never ours — and grieving them when they’re gone.

So today, on National Pet Memorial Day, we want our Spruce Hill families to know something:

We remember them, too. 🤍

We remember their quirks. Their favorite treats. The ones who needed a little extra reassurance and the ones who acted like they owned the place. We remember the happy visits, the difficult days, and the goodbyes that stayed with us long after you walked out our doors.

They were never “just a pet.”

They were your family. Your best friend. Your comfort. Your constant. And for however long we were lucky enough to care for them, they became part of the Spruce Hill family, too. 🐾

Today, we’d love to remember them with you.

🌈 Please fill our comments with the pets you’re missing today. Share their photo, their name, or a favorite memory. Whether we had the privilege of knowing them or not, we would be honored to remember them alongside you.

For every paw print that left an imprint on our hearts…

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered. 🤍🐾
