Here are some questions to consider before hiring an assistant:

1. Skillset Compatibility: Does the candidate have the proven skills required to get the job done? Do you have the time, patience, and/or financial resources necessary to provide the required training to adequately complete the job?

2. Availability: Do you prefer to work in the same time zone as the candidate? Do you prefer active working hours during traditional business hours? Do you prefer the deadline accountability method?

3. Communication Style: Do you prefer emails, text messages, or video calls? How often do you prefer updates?

4. Budget: Is this a one-off project or an ongoing support position? If an ongoing position, how many hours do you require on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis?

It's Monday, and like any other Monday, it's time to set my intentions for the upcoming week. I have always been one of those people that gets up and starts working. After all, there is always work to do. I've since realized that if I don't set my intentions on specific goals to accomplish within the week, then it doesn't matter how many things I am able to cram or get done in a week, I can still walk away feeling unfulfilled.
