Our Inspiritás Memory Care residents recently engaged in art therapy, a calming and creative activity! The residents are focused as they paint and draw colorful circles, using both watercolor paints and markers. This therapeutic session provides a joyful and relaxing experience, allowing residents to express themselves artistically while enhancing their motor skills and cognitive abilities. The residents' smiles and concentration reflect how much they enjoy this artistic outlet, contributing to their overall well-being! 🤩 💗

Healthy Aging Month is celebrated throughout September to promote healthy aging and ways to stay healthy as people get older! How did you celebrate this month?🤩

Mr. Nigel, one of our Inspiritás Memory Care residents, enjoyed a special during a baseball game watch party at our community! The event was filled with excitement and personal touches, including a customized jersey just for him. Mr. Nigel was surprised with a jersey featuring his name and birth year, adding an extra layer of joy to the celebration! Classic baseball treats like Cracker Jacks, cupcakes, hot dogs, and refreshing non-alcoholic beers brought back fond memories of days at the ballpark. The vibrant atmosphere, filled with cheers and shared moments, made it a truly unforgettable experience for Mr. Nigel! 🤩 ⚾

This Sunday, our puzzle extraordinaire, Ms. Estelle, showcased her skills at the NVSO Olympic Jigsaw Singles Competition! 🧩🥈 She proudly earned the silver medal in her age group and had a blast connecting with fellow puzzlers. Congrats, Ms. Estelle! 🎉👏

Our residents recently indulged in the sweet celebration of National Chocolate Milkshake Day! They came together to enjoy this classic, creamy treat, which sparked smiles and brought back memories of childhood delights. From blending rich chocolate ice cream to topping each shake with whipped cream and sprinkles, the activity-filled the day with joy and nostalgia. It was a perfect way to bond over a shared love for something simple yet comforting. The refreshing milkshakes not only satisfied sweet cravings but also added an extra touch of fun to our day! 🤩 🍦 🍫

We continued our celebration of National Assisted Living Week this month with a nostalgic journey through beauty trends from different decades with LUXE Unlimited! Our residents explored vintage beauty items, including classic perfumes, hair brushes, and styling products, representing the 1930s to the 2020s. Each display showcased iconic figures and trends from these eras, sparking conversations and fond memories. The exhibit beautifully combined learning and sentimentality, creating a charming and reflective experience for everyone involved. 🤩 👱🏼‍♀️ ✨

Our Inspiritas Memory Care residents dove into their Coast to Coast journey with a creative seashell mosaic project! 🌊✨ They started by mixing and kneading dough to create the perfect base, then handpicked and arranged seashells to design their personalized masterpieces. This engaging activity sparked creativity, honed fine motor skills, and resulted in a stunning collection of colorful, unique mosaics. Each piece is a beautiful reflection of their personal touch and dedication! 🎨🐚

We celebrated National Assisted Living Week last week with a delightful event, courtesy of Taste of RUI! They brought the famous Jezebel Dip for our residents, and everyone was amazed by how such a simple recipe could be so incredibly delicious! Our residents thoroughly enjoyed tasting the dip, and the cooking demonstration was both fun and engaging. It sparked wonderful conversations and brought back cherished memories as we reminisced about past experiences in the kitchen and shared favorite recipes. It was truly a heartwarming experience for all! ✨

Our Inspiritás Memory Care residents continued their Coast to Coast journey with a hands-on, creative project where they made seashell mosaics from scratch. The activity began with residents stirring the dough in a bowl, followed by kneading and flattening it carefully to create the perfect base. Each resident then chose their favorite seashells, thoughtfully selecting and arranging them to design their personalized mosaic. This engaging process allowed them to exercise creativity, and fine motor skills, and create something beautiful, step by step, from start to finish. The end result was a collection of unique and colorful seashell mosaics, reflecting the residents' personal tastes and their active participation in the project. 💖 🐚
