West Coast Prost
The official page for West Coast Prost! California's Premiere Oktoberfest Party Band. Much more than your average polka band!
This group, led by accordionist and singer Jason Fabus, plays polkas, waltzes, dixieland, swing, and country/western favorites. They bring an exciting sense of youth to an older tradition of music!

Hanging up the Hosen on a truly incredible 2025 season:
This band started at an airport bar in LAX back in 2014 when I boldly told a manager of the Westlake Village Inn that "I have a band!" for his Oktoberfest. Isn't that the ole saying, "if you want to start a band, get a gig!" So, we threw together a group, printed out as much polkas/waltz music I could find online, and played our first gig. I'm trying to remember how it went... probably sounded fine, but I'm sure I was being a frantic and nervous wreck of a bandleader trying not to mess it all up.
It's now been 11 seasons with West Coast Prost, California's Premiere Polka Party Band. (2020 didn't happen for some reason... I forget). We have five long-standing core members of this group that have each contributed their strength, character, and bad-ass musicality to make this the best band I've ever been a part of. Grateful to you Drew, Brian, Gabe, and Gareth. It wouldn't be a band without you.
A few highlights this year include being cast in an episode of Netflix "Monster (The Ed Gein Story)" and recently recording music for Fox "The Simpsons". We also played our second time up in Leavenworth, WA and look forward to traveling back up there. And our longstanding gig at the Westlake Village Inn, you know the place that started this whole thing? Well, they have yet again set a record for sales at this years Oktoberfest, and we'll be back again next year.
A big dankeschön to our "Sub-Hosens" who came out and rocked with us, keeping this thing moving. You are a part of this dysfunctional family now:
🥁Kevin Van Den Elzen
🥁Riley Baker
🥁Samuel Webster
🎺Charlie Peterson
🎺Harry Ostrander
🎷Lawrence Pi
🚌Marc Bolin
Love & Gratitude & Gemütlichkeit to you all,
Your Festmeister,
Jason
A final Prost 🥺...
Last gig of the year always feels great until you're in the middle of it and all the memories & meloncholy hits you... I love my brothers in this band, and am so proud of where we've come and the joy that we bring to every community we play for. It's that simple: gemütlichkeit.
Prost fellas, until next year...
🍻
