We’re excited to officially introduce Jessica Hobbs as the new President of Generations Next!

Jessica is no stranger to serving her community. She has already spent countless hours showing up, volunteering, supporting our athletes, and helping turn ideas into action.

By day, Jessica is a mortgage professional who helps families achieve homeownership, with a special place in her business for serving first responders and military families. Outside of work, community involvement and volunteering are truly her love language.

As President, Jessica is looking forward to building on the foundation that has been created while continuing to strengthen our organization, bring people together, and create opportunities for the kids and families we serve.

And because leadership doesn’t have to be all business, here are a few things you may not know about Jessica:

🏖️ The ocean is her happy place… the sand, however, is not.
🏐 She still loves a little competition and plays competitive kickball as an adult.
🤝 If there’s a community need, an idea that needs a plan, or an opportunity to help,Jessica is probably already asking, “How can we make it happen?”

Please join us in welcoming President Jessica Hobbs! 💚

For three years, Pierre Alexander has served as President of Generations Next. Like any organization just getting started, it has taken hard work, long hours, big ideas, and a whole lot of heart to get where we are today.

This post is to honor Pierre Alexander and his three years of service.

Although his term has come to an end, the foundation he built will live on in the next generations — and that is exactly what this board was created to do.

Congratulations, Pierre, and THANK YOU for three years of service to Generations Next. ❤️

Last night, some of our event committee got together to prep for fall picture day for Robertson County Sports Alliance!

We share lots of laughs, good food, and a great conversation about the program and just how much it means to all of us.

It’s always special to get together with people who care so deeply about creating a great experience for the families we serve.❤️

As a new school year begins, we’re wishing every student across Robertson County a safe, successful, and meaningful year.

To the teachers, staff, parents, and everyone helping guide our young people, thank you. The encouragement, patience, and support you give can make a difference that lasts far beyond the classroom.

Here’s to a year of growth, confidence, new opportunities, and bright futures.

The next generation is counting on all of us. 💙

We love serving other nonprofits! Some of our board members helped Robertson County Family YMCA hand out food boxes to families today! 3,360 meals found their way into the homes of children in our community! Thank you YMCA for allowing us to serve alongside you!

This holiday marks a pivotal moment in American history when freedom was extended to all. In the years that followed, communities came together to build schools and create opportunities for the next generation — understanding that real freedom means having the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.

That same belief drives Generations Next TN today. Through sports, mentorship, and youth programs, we're working to give every young person in Robertson County the tools to become a confident, capable leader...regardless of where they start.

This Juneteenth, let's celebrate freedom by investing in opportunity for all our kids. 💛

Why doing Juneteenth at Bransford Matters

The annual Juneteenth Celebration at Bransford is more than just an event. It is a full-circle moment.

These grounds carry alot of history. Bransford was once a cornerstone for Black education in Springfield and Robertson County. For generations, it was a place where students learned, families gathered, leaders were shaped, and Black excellence was celebrated during a time when opportunity was not always equal.

That is why celebrating Juneteenth here means so much.

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom was not just announced. It had to be protected, taught, lived out, and passed down. And after emancipation, education became one of the strongest ways our people claimed that freedom.

So when we gather at Bransford, we are not just having a cookout. We are honoring the history of these grounds and the people who made them special.

As RCSA and Generations Next, we are thankful for the opportunity to help bring life back to fields that have meant so much to so many. Thank you, Bransford Community Center, for allowing us to serve this community and create new memories where so many powerful ones already exist.

We are standing on history while creating something for the next generation.

And we know almost everybody from Robertson County has a Bransford memory. Maybe it was a game, a practice, a school event, a summer night on the fields, or just growing up around these grounds.

Drop your favorite Bransford Fields memory in the comments. We would love to hear what this place has meant to you and your family.

That is what Juneteenth is about.

Freedom. Community. Remembrance. Progress. And joy.
