Kudos to Director, Natalie Albers, and crew, for the good work they do at the library and the savings that the Williamsville taxpayers are enjoying thanks to, not only this solar project, but also the one on the Williamsville Community Center!
Solar On Williamsville Library Will Save Taxpayers $100K In Illinois, the Williamsville Public Library and Museum is using solar energy to cut electricity bills by 70%, saving taxpayers up to $100,000. Incentives and discounts like Illinois Shines helped make the solar panels more affordable.

I was honored to have been a speaker at IEC's Clean Energy Town Hall, behind a legislative champion, Representative Ann Williams, sharing details about the Solar Bill of Rights (SBOR) that I helped to draft. SBOR is designed to help bring fair solar policy to the over 1,000,000 Illinoisans that live in rural electric and/or municipal utility territories. Two of the components of the original SBOR were passed in the Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability (CRGA) Act, but we have more work to do in the spring session of 2026!
