Thank youMissouri Dept. of Conservation
MDC provided Friends of the Zoo a Community Conservation Cost-share grant to send DPZ keepers Sheila Samek and Tracy Campbell to the in Baltimore.
This trip provided valuable insight on floating wetland design, maintenance, wildlife interactions, urban integration, and interpretive potential. DPZ has three floating wetlands in MDC Community Conservation Tier 1 geography and plans to add three more later this year.
