On the road again headed home, continuing our stops at local coffee shops, we’re in Casey, IL, known as the small
town with big things. We didn’t spend much time looking for all the “bigs” today, we just needed a coffee break and place for Joe to do some quick work. Casey’s Coffee Company was perfect! Joe kept saying, “That coffee’s really good!” So he picked up a bag of beans, called Big Trouble, to take home.

Dinner tonight with family at The Woods. Beautiful setting, yummy food & drinks.

To continue our coffee tour: Right here in Robinson, IL on the square is a beautiful little coffee shop called Voyagers. It’s in a storefront that used to be a Billiard Hall in the early 1900s. People gathered here in election nights in the 50s and they still have the last chalkboard of results for the 1960 election before television took over. Besides all that, they have great coffee and baked goods, and maybe we’ll sample the ice cream later! 😋
FYI: Joe grew up in Palestine, IL, a little town just 7 miles from Robinson.

We took another little detour to walk around LaFayette Park in StL. Beautiful area! We found Park Avenue coffee shop. Park Avenue coffee is one of Joe’s favorite roasters that he orders from online.
