Coach Natalya is leaving the coaching staff at Brightspeed Ice Park to take on a new role. She will be program director at the Alice Noble Ice Arena in Wooster, Ohio. Her new rink has a great backstory. A couple went ice skating for their first date. Years later, they opened an ice rink! Good luck Natalya!

Have questions about the Learn to Skate program? Wrapping up your Learn to Skate session and still have punches left on your practice punchcard? The summer fun themed public session on August 15th is a great time to ask questions! And a chance to use any remaining punches. The session starts at noon but come a few minutes early to watch Coach Hope and Coach Allie skate.

Okay, okay we know that Springfield is currently in a heat wave! And that September seems very far away! But here's the deal- the fall exhibition is a great opportunity to perform a program. Skaters can perform something that has a fall/Halloween theme to it. Skaters could try out their new program for the competition season. Or do a duet with a friend! In Learn to Skate and want to try performing but aren't sure where to start? You can talk to your Learn to Skate class coach to see if they offer private lessons or talk with Alli Schaefer about finding a coach who could work with you on a program.
