In "Nebraska: Debts No Honest Man Can Pay" Gentry Amstutz translates Bruce Springsteen's 1982 album, Nebraska, into paintings inspired by each song from the Album.

“Everything dies, baby, that's a fact, but maybe everything that dies someday comes back.”
Set against the backdrop of organized crime in the early ’80s, the song follows a desperate man making one final risky gamble. It explores the tragic reality of chasing the American Dream, watching an idealized vision of success slowly fade into a desperate search for a lucky break.

Make sure you stop by this week Tuesday-Friday 10am-6pm & Saturday 10am-5pm to view This exhibition in our Main Gallery. The last day to view is this Saturday!

“Man turns his back on his family, well, he just ain't no good.”
A tragic character study of a patrolman forced to choose between the law and his loyalty to a troubled brother. It is a quiet, agonizing look at the unbreakable bonds of blood, the burdens of duty, and the painful compromises made to protect the people we love.

Three pieces found their home last Friday during the opening reception of "Nebraska: Debts No Honest Man Can Pay," marking Gentry Amstutz's incredible debut exhibition!

There’s still plenty of wonderful work on display, but these sold pieces will remain with us until the exhibition wraps up. Make sure you stop by the gallery through September 26th to view the collection in person before the rest of the works go home to their collectors.
