Well, deer season officially ended today here in Missouri and it ended yesterday for me. I didn't get to come back out yesterday afternoon after going home for lunch, and that's OK. I do have to brag on this Tuesday night purchase. I went to buy a tree stand from a guy off of the Facebook Marketplace and we were talking about how I have always ground hunted and wouldn't be putting the stand up this season. He said he had 2 tree seats that would be dandy for my ground hunting since I usually stand. He made me a deal on them I couldn't refuse so I bought them both along with the stand and tried one out yesterday morning. Holy cow! What a difference in comfort it was to sit instead of standing! And talk about comfortable! This thing is nice! I can't wait to take it shed hunting so that I can sit and take a break! And how about that good lookin 17ish year old Redhead Kryptik bow? 🤣

I got a new 2 point sling for Christmas and I love it! Easy to put on. Quick adjust. I can't wait to get outside and carry my AR by sling now and free up my hands! It pairs well with my Romeo5 and my 7.62 upper!

We had my wife's families Christmas this evening and one of my brother in laws got the other brother in laws a small gift. I got this dandy Glacier shaft lock folder. makes some pretty solid budget friendly gear and I can't wait to add this little knife to my EDC rotation!

It's been 20+ years since I have gone deer hunting and I managed to go out 4 times this past week. Didn't see much and only shot 1 small doe not worth posting, but I am glad that I went. I can't wait to start going more often! I have had this Westernfield/ M78 30-06 with a Bushnell Sportview 4-10x45 scope for probably 15 years and I have never shot it. It is a safe queen. Seems to work just fine and looks good to boot!

It's too hot to get any work done outside. Seems like a good time to sit inside, get out some and my Bore Boss, and clean my OG 55 TP9.

I forgot to update my week of fishing! On Tuesday, I went to a little place called County Park. Neat little place with a lake/pond. The fishing here was much better. While I only got to fish for a short time, I managed to catch this little bass. It was just short of 12" long. Good times!

I managed to get some fishing in yesterday on the first night of a week long work trip. Binder Lake just west of Jefferson City is pretty nice! The rivers are all flooded here from recent rains and Binder Lake is up some as well, but easily accessible with plenty of bank fishing. No fish caught, but i got to see an otter in the wild for the first time!

And this, kids, is why we DO NOT touch hot coals! I was scanning the coals in my fireplace with my TP-30 infrared thermometer. The bottom number is the highest temperature read over the red area. The top number is a "cool" (dark) spot in real time. 1368°!!!! 😱😱😱😱

Well.... While we are in our first week of rain, I should probably get a few of these saws running. Working on a Poulan 2150. I have finally got it to start and run for a few seconds before it dies and it acts like it is running out of fuel. I think I have determined that the new fuel line I ran is too big for the ni***es on the carburetor so I'm going to have to find some small clamps to clamp it off. I am pretty sure it's sucking air and not drawing fuel into the carburetor after it burns what has been primed into it.
