Kumler Outreach Ministries

We're so grateful for all the work done by the Pike County Christians during their mission trip to Springfield. The youth and adult leaders worked at The Enos Park Neighborhood Garden, cleaned and organized rooms at Kumler United Methodist Church, helped set up for The Village Cares' sickle cell education and awareness event, and sorted books and baby items for Kumler Outreach Ministries. Pike County Christians is comprised of youth from the United Parish of the United Methodist Church and Bright Star Parish of the United Methodist Church.

Here's a sampling of the many wonderful baby items we recently received from Church Women United for our baby layettes. Thank you to the women and their congregations for their faithful support! Your generosity helps ensure families have the basics to give their newborns a good start.

Managing Sickle Cell disease comes with a unique set of challenges—from navigating pain crises and hydration to managing school care plans and hematology appointments. You shouldn't have to travel hours away to find the resources, education, and community you deserve.

The Village Cares is bringing our 2nd Quarter Workshop right to your backyard. Join us for an empowering, informative session focused on health literacy, practical caregiving tools, and peer support.

Thank you so much to the Springfield Rotary Foundation of the Rotary Club of Springfield, IL for a grant award to Kumler Outreach Ministries' food pantry. This support helps us continue to help our neighbors who are struggling. It was a blessing to join the Rotarians and the other grant recipients to hear about the wonderful work being done throughout our community.

We are excited to partner with The Village Cares as they support families with special medical needs, raise awareness and establish a peer-to-peer exchange for medical equipment, etc. Please share about the upcoming event focused on sickle cell disease.

Today we remember and give thanks for those who made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedoms. We pray you have a safe Memorial Day holiday, and thank you for your continued support of Kumler Outreach Ministries as we help our neighbors who are struggling.

It was great to join our Lanphier High School friend Jacob at his graduation celebration! We're going to miss Jacob at Kumler Outreach Ministries, but we wish him all the best for the future.

Kumler Outreach Ministries will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day. We pray everyone has a safe holiday. Thank you for your continued support as we helping our neighbors who are struggling.

It was a smaller group of friends from Lanphier High School for the weekly work day, but they were so efficient! The students were able to get through all their tasks despite having to leave a little early. Thank you, Lions, for all you do for Kumler Outreach Ministries!
