This past Saturday, Biomedical Sciences students represented our program at the Missouri Academy of Science annual meeting.

This semester in Medical Microbiology lab, students gave poster presentations with findings from their Bacterial Isolation and Characterization projects. π¦
The students applied skills they learned in lab to identify bacteria that is present in environments they interact with on a daily basis. This project gave students first-hand experience with experimental design, giving them a new perspective on research and the importance of the lab techniques they've learned this semester.
