This past Saturday, Biomedical Sciences students represented our program at the Missouri Academy of Science annual meeting.

Writing resilience into action - Health and Human Services News Two biomedical sciences students earn top honors in Public Affairs Essay Contest.

This semester in Medical Microbiology lab, students gave poster presentations with findings from their Bacterial Isolation and Characterization projects. 🦠

The students applied skills they learned in lab to identify bacteria that is present in environments they interact with on a daily basis. This project gave students first-hand experience with experimental design, giving them a new perspective on research and the importance of the lab techniques they've learned this semester.

Our very own Dr. Meghan Kelley was featured in the November faculty spotlight. :) She describes her research in sensory physiology, her teaching philosophy, and how her academic journey led her to Missouri State.
