So thankful for today! Incredible race. Perfect conditions, great course, top class pacers. So stoked to see my good friend along the course, and my brother and cousin at the end. After a disappointing first bout with 26.2, I knew I’d have to try again soon. Focused less on the time, set a more realistic goal, and felt strong almost the whole way. This is what the run experience should be- absolutely elated after this race. Thankful for this sport and movement of the body!

Things you don’t see every day: the top of a 14er.

Things you REALLY don’t see every day: a military chopper flying up to the top of said 14er to rescue and injured hiker. Harvey and I were honored to have helped in a small way by corralling some of the hikers on the peak away from the landing site. So essentially we helped save this person’s life, no biggie.

The best summer yet, hands down (or up). 💜
