Guardian Response 26 prepares U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers for real-world natural disaster response.
1st Lt. Stephen Williams explains why these types of exercises are important to the readiness of the Army Reserve.
Guardian Response is an annual exercise conducted by the 87th Training Division and its partners to validate the readiness and interoperability of the Army, National Guard, Army Reserve, and civilian agencies supporting domestic disaster response and the nation's Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Response Enterprise.

Each squad was held to the same marksmanship standards required across the force, with no shortcuts and no exceptions.

Parachute Riggers of the 824th Quartermaster Company, based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, are responsible for packing and inspecting every parachute and aerial delivery system used in airborne and resupply missions. πͺ
The unit recently supported two major exercises: Arctic Warrior at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, and Operation Toy Drop at Fort Bragg. Both missions required riggers to maintain precision standards in demanding operational environments.
As part of the Army Reserve, the 824th provides combat-ready sustainment capability to support the Total U.S. Army mission.

πͺ H2F stands for Holistic Health and Fitness, and it's the Army's system for reimagining how Soldiers approach their health, readiness, and performance.
Here's a breakdown:
π The Core Idea
H2F is changing the Army's culture of health and fitness to help meet the demands of modern combat. It empowers and equips Soldiers to take charge of their health, fitness, and well-being, optimizing individual performance while preventing injury or disease.
π The Model
Modeled after Special Forces and professional and collegiate athletics, H2F moves away from a one-size-fits-all approach and acknowledges that every Soldier is unique and different units have different missions.
π The Five Domains
H2F takes a holistic approach by addressing five readiness domains: physical, mental, nutrition, sleep, and spiritual. The program is built on the understanding that each domain impacts the others, so Soldiers need education and resources to maximize performance on and off the battlefield.
β‘οΈ Follow along with Sgt. 1st Class Abel Aungst as he explores what H2F looks like for him, as an athlete and Army Reserve Soldier.
