Leaks can happen and you won't know until there's a mess everywhere. Or whatever was leaking decides it's had enough.
Make sure to get your vehicle looked at yearly to reassure yourself that it's not in need of repairs.
This vehicle here has a power steering leak from either a worn hose clamp or a hose that is degrading internally.

The older the vehicle, the more likely that it'll have broken rubber boots. From your tie rods, sway bar links, ball joints and control arms.
It's good to get a good inspection to see what you find.

2019 GMC Terrain 1.5
They should really tell customers to replace certain things at certain times. Or stress test these parts better to decide if it's a good idea.
Or design it so that the space is smaller and can hold the O ring without the need of a split ring for a spacer. They don't hold up well.
Get your vehicle inspected at least every 50,000 miles.

If you drive a GMC, Chevy or Buick with a high pressure system. Specifically this style here. This is the 2017 1.5 turbo Terrain.
This is what happens when the fuel injector seal goes bad. This customer drove it like this. That's fuel spraying out right next to the coils.
This will need new seals. And I recommend replacing them at 100,000 miles. Maybe even every 50,000.
