Y'all surprise me every day. Damn, I love every single one of you. It's an honor to even be ON this list. It means I'm doing something right. 🥹

Happy Thanksgiving. I will not be working Black Friday or Small Business Saturday this year, nor will I be running any sales. I will instead be spending the time with my family at the farm and visiting my dad's grave. I hope you all have a good time with your families and friends. Take the time to tell those you love that you are grateful for them. I am definitely thankful for each one of you-- I would be nothing in this business without every client that comes in and brightens my doorstep. Thank you all for the opportunity to share my artwork with this town. And thank you for being more than butts in my chair. I know I am a safe space for so many in town but so many of you have listened and held space for me while I have cried this year and held me up when I didn't think I would be able to come back. Those of you who came to my dad's funeral-- I'll never forget that. I cherish you all. 💓

The most important veteran in my life. I am a 3rd generation veteran on both sides of my family. But on my dad's-- I didn't even know that my Grandpa, Carroll Grieme ran his motor pool in the US Army, too. He died when Dad was two. Dad was a 92Y and I was 92A. I was re-classing to that slot to run Supply before I got my pacemaker (let's be honest, I worked in that job helping that NCO years before they put me there, too) but we were both in the Quartermaster Corps. My dad was so proud of me. I never wore anything with any Army signifiers on it. I knew he loved to point at me and tell the waitress at IHOP that I got the free Red, White and Blue pancakes, too. Even though I hate fruit and always ask for that on the side. I don't have anyone to do that anymore. I have to wear my stupid Army shirt that's now huge on me. I made myself tea this morning bc I didn't want to go to Mel-O-Cream and burst into tears while ordering my free donut. We went to Pizza Ranch last year and my toes were broken-- dad made fun of me because we both were in boots. He said now people could sees that I'm disabled and they wouldn't question my parking. If I would have known we wouldn't have this year... I know he was proud of me but I am just really proud to be a chosen part of a line of generous, kind men. My grandfather died literally saving the lives of other people. He selflessly drove his large truck hauling bricks off an a bridge into an embankment so that another couple would not be hit head on because another driver tried to overtake him in a high way lane on a bridge. My dad was one of the most kindhearted, generous men I knew. I don't remember him ever saying no. My dad would have give me the world had I just asked for it. And all I want now is just a few more minutes. I miss you, Dad. Happy Veteran's Day. 🇺🇸

I will not be working on Black Friday or Cyber Saturday like I usually am. My Dad's birthday falls on the Thanksgiving holiday so I am taking that time for my family this year. Take time and thankful for those you still have with you-- you truly never know. I have experienced more loss this year than I have in over 20 years. Quite possibly my whole life. Hold your loved ones tight and love them hard 🤍

Bloody nail art for Halloween 🧛🏻‍♂️🦇🩸

A lot of you have been in my salon and know that it is a black walled hodge podge of art on my walls. Right before my father passed this year I took a trip and got to see one of my friends Megan Steinlage who told me she would be moving back to Texas and she had all of her artwork all over the cabin we were staying in. I got to pick out and take 3 pieces home with me and I made sure she signed each one. I have various local artists on these walls. She's sadly not local to me anymore, but you can go on Whatnot and buy her work! The crow, The witch hand-- which I call Elphaba 💚 and the dark horse are all Megan's work. 🤍 Go check her out!

Lovelies! The week before Halloween my mom is having surgery and I will be caring for her that whole week-- so BE SURE to book with me this week and next if you need in before Halloween!!! November is also open I have plenty of time before the Thanksgiving holiday, so get yourselves in there, too!

I'm officially certified and a part of the I have very quickly fallen in love with this brand and have started switching all of my colors over-- especially StarRider-- that beautiful yellow of my dreams that I just cannot get enough of. I'm seriously addicted, this was the color that got me to switch from because I had a tried and true yellow that I used in darn near every formula that was ripped literally out from under me and Danger Jones flew in to save the day. The glosses have been impressing me in the last week and after taking this course I cannot wait to get my hands on the toners. I may just be making this my color line for vivids and toning. I think I found my match. 🫟💘🎨
