A date that lines up with the stars. 17 years and 18 years ago today a visit to Springfield to "Les & Julie's restaurant" that just happened to be a Dairy Queen 🥰

To think it's already been 6 years since retirement day. Still haven't had a blizzard that's come close to how Julie made it since May 18th, 2012. Glad you guys are enjoying retirement and I'll visit again soon!

Stopped in and saw Esther and her husband at the Dairy Queen in Kansas City. She had been working there since 1967!

Five years ago today Les and Julie decided to retire. We lost a true original, it was Les and Julie's Burger and Ice Cream Shop.... that just happened to be a Dairy Queen. You won't find any place like it in the world. When you ate the, it wasn't just DQ food and ice cream. It was the best. Prepared with love and dedication. I'm so fortunate to have been able to experience it, and glad to call Les and Julie my friends. In a way, any regular customer had to be their friend. That's just how they ran the show. :-). Thank you again both of you.
