IZZY HILL (she/her)

She’s tall, she knows ball– you know her, you love her, she’s…

THE IZZY HILL *air horns, canon fire, bald eagle*

Izzy is an acting major with a minor in dance who decided to bless us with her performing prowess because she “finally realized that life is too short not to be silly and free” (Hill, 2026). Wait… Izzy’s allowed to be silly AND free? I’m super silly but they keep locking me in the PSU after shows 🙁

When she’s not frolicking, you can find Izzy playing Mario Kart, guitar (acoustic and electric), baking, axe throwing, or thrifting. Damn girl, leave some cool hobbies for the rest of us!

Speaking of Mario Kart, we have it on VERY good sources that Izzy is nationally ranked. But you didn’t hear it from us ;)). Also, after combing through her follower list on Instagram (which we do to everyone who joins the team), our experts discovered that Izzy is followed by the 2 time world champion of air guitar. Talk about object work!

We are so thankful to have Izzy on our team and YOU yes YOU can see her perform on Wednesday’s in the PSU!

🕺🏻TOMMY SWONGER (he/him)🎭

🎤 Tommy is a sophomore Musical Theatre major! When our hard-hitting journalists asked him why he does improv, he said, “Improv, Stand Up and Sketch Comedy always cheered me up when I needed it the most and I just hope to do the same for others.” Bit sentimental for my taste but still: AWWWW.

When Tommy was asked about his hobbies, he said, “finding new recipes to cook, playing video games with my friends from back home, buying clothes and walking around Downtown with my camera taking pictures.” So Tommy, I’m expecting a feast and a photoshoot in our future, ‘kay?

A fun fact that Tommy wanted to share about himself was: “I’m a proud Latino and I’ve been traveling to Colombia to visit family since before I could speak.” 🇨🇴 We love to see it folks! 👏

👀 Pay close attention to this one, he’s sure to be a future improv icon! Catch Tommy at our shows every Wednesday at 7pm in the PSU!! 🕖

This year we are raising money in support of UNITED WE DREAM! We will talk about them throughout the show, but if you want to do more research I recommend looking on their website, they have a long history of advocacy!

If you would like to send us donations (online or cash) we will be collecting those throughout the day!

Pop in to PSU 312 any time from 8am-8pm… we will be there… (and of course, regular show from 7-8pm!!)

INTRODUCING OUR FIRST BABY… IRIS!!!

Iris is a freshman majoring in Design Technology and Stage Management with an emphasis in Lighting and a minor in Political Science. Wow, that’s not a mouthful at all!! Keep it up Iris!

When asked why she does improv “I love joy! I love love! I love to walk into a room full of love and bring joy! Joy is an act of resistance and there’s nothing more joyful than laughter!” What a ray of sunshine!!

Iris is hobbies include, and I quote: “Theatre, always. I love to cook and bake and listen to music. Avid concertgoer. Saving worms off of the sidewalk and bringing bugs outside instead of stepping on them (true story) and long walks on the beach. Joymaxxiing and whimsyfarming. Laughing a lot and hanging out with my friends. And frolicking with puppy dogs. Also on the beach. And sticking my tongue out like this 😛or this 😝” truly inspiring.

A fun fact about Iris is “As a child, instead of a stuffed animal or baby blanket, I carried around a rubber fetus, like 8 weeks ish, and called it “my baby”. I carried it around until it was tragically decapitated because I liked to mess with the head.” Ummm… hey Iris, I’m scared.

Well Iris were so happy to have you as a baby on the Missouri State Improv team, we promise we’ll keep you in one piece!
