Today we surprised our amazing staff with “We Know You’re Pooped” cupcakes 🧁💩 and a totally rad sucker pull — EVERYONE scored a prize! 🎉
From all the laughs, lessons, and memories this year… thank you for making CMS all that and a bag of chips. 💜
We hope every staff member has a summer that’s da bomb! ☀️😎
And to those retiring or moving on from CMS, we hope you treasure your Cherokee memories forever. You’ll always be part of our tribe, and you are already so loved and missed. 💫

‼️ ***8th Grade Celebration Info***

We will be celebrating our 8th Grade class tomorrow with carnival games, snacks, dirty sodas, and a drawing for several amazing prizes from 1-4 pm in the Cherokee Gym.

“Class of 2030” t-shirts will be distributed to all who ordered tomorrow (Tuesday, May 19th) so that the kids have them for the t-shirt signing. If you did not order a shirt, no worries! Your student can bring their own shirt from home and we will have markers available. PTSA will also have a small amount of blank t-shirts available on a first-come first-served basis.

Please note that parents are only able to attend the event if signed up as a volunteer (we only have two spots left). All volunteers MUST check in at the front office before proceeding to the gym.

We can’t wait to send our 8th graders off in style!

We wrapped up staff appreciation with custom M&Ms because our Cherokee staff is sweeter than Saturday morning cartoons and a fresh pack of Dunkaroos!

And can we talk about dessert day?! Donna totally brought the flavor with cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and snack mixes that were dabomb. com. 🍰🧁🍪

From start to finish, these last weeks were all that and a bag of chips thanks to everyone who helped celebrate our amazing staff. Cherokee staff, you totally rock our Tamagotchis! 💜✌️

8th grade signs are up! If you ordered a sign, you can come pick it up on Friday so you can have it at home for the last week of school. Let us know if you have any questions!

Staff Appreciation kept rollin’ this week at Cherokee like a mixtape on repeat! 🎶💿
Monday was all about Ice Ice Floaty 🍦❄️ with custard from Culver's and sodas, cookies, and supplies provided by Sylvan Learning. Staff were totally chillin’ like villains!
Then Thursday we were Sippin’ on Coffee & Juice ☕🧃 with an açaí bowl ~Springfield Acai Bowl~breakfast bar that was da bomb dot com.

We kept the Staff Appreciation vibes rollin’ this week at Cherokee with a little throwback fun! 💿✨
First up—“Sip Happens” 🥤—Sonic drink deliveries to keep our staff cool, caffeinated, and feelin’ all that 90s joy. Because let’s be real… sometimes you just need a cherry limeade to make it all better 😎
Then we took it back to the playground with “Rock, Paper, SLAY” ✌️💅—friendship bracelet style! Staff battled it out and walked away with some totally rad wrist candy. Our tournament winners scored gift cards (talk about all that and a bag of chips energy 🙌).
