Always a wonderful time to host the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks Annual 'Thankquet' Luncheon! Thank you to CBCO and everyone involved for all that you do for the community.

Today was the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks luncheon where they thank all the people and businesses in town who help keep our community's blood supply in stock.

This event is always a tear-jerker! Seriously, we passed around tissues before the program even started. It's impossible not to cry when you hear from kids, parents and community members whose lives were saved thanks to local blood donations.

This year, our team hosted more than a dozen mobile blood drives, and we collected 726 units of blood. When we're asked why we're dedicated to supporting the work of CBCO and helping host blood drives, our answer is simple: blood donations help save the lives of our patients.

So thank you to all of our caregivers who donate, to visitors and community members who stop by when we're hosting blood drives, and to our patients who share their personal stories of how a blood transfusion helped save their life.

We're honored to be part of CBCO's mission to care for our community, and we couldn't be prouder of everyone's work across the Ozarks to host 1,054 blood drives and collect 62,900 units of lifesaving blood.
