Republic, Missouri — Republic emergency services responded Friday night to a major crash on James River Freeway at Highway MM.
Officials say multiple 911 calls reported a multi-vehicle accident involving at least three vehicles. One of the vehicles rolled over during the crash, prompting a large emergency response.
Authorities confirmed one driver suffered facial injuries and was treated by EMS at the scene. That individual was later transported for further medical evaluation. No additional injury information has been released.
Due to the severity of the crash, James River Freeway was completely shut down for approximately 30 minutes while first responders worked to secure the scene and clear debris. One lane was eventually reopened to allow traffic to move through the area.

Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident Friday evening at the intersection of Republic Road and Scenic Avenue.
The crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. Initial reports indicated that one person was injured, prompting a response from both EMS and Fire crews. First responders arrived on scene to assess the situation and provide medical care to those involved.
House Fire Reported on Commercial Street Sunday Evening
Springfield, Mo. — Fire crews responded to reports of a house fire Sunday evening in north Springfield.
Around 7 p.m. on January 4th, 911 operators received multiple calls reporting a fire at a residence in the 800 block of Commercial Street. Firefighters arrived to find flames concentrated toward the rear of the home.
Officials confirmed that all occupants were safely evacuated from the structure prior to crews’ arrival, and no injuries were reported.
Due to displacement caused by the fire, the American Red Cross was requested to assist one adult affected by the incident.
Fire crews were able to bring the fire under control, and the cause of the fire has not yet been released. An investigation is ongoing.

Three-Vehicle Crash Reported at Chestnut Expressway and Glenstone
Springfield, Mo. — Saturday, Jan. 3
Emergency crews responded to the scene of a three-vehicle crash Saturday evening at the intersection of Chestnut Expressway and Glenstone Avenue.
The accident occurred just after 7 p.m. Initial calls to dispatch indicated the crash involved injuries. Multiple emergency units were seen responding to the intersection shortly after the call came in.

Springfield police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting that occurred late Friday night in downtown Springfield.
Just after 11 p.m., 911 dispatchers received reports of a person who had been shot in the lower level of the Jordan Valley Parking Garage, located at the corner of Trafficway and Benton Street.
According to initial information, the incident appears to have involved a drive-by shooting. Emergency crews responded to the scene and located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the back.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No information has been released regarding the victim’s condition.
Police secured the area while investigators worked to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses. At this time, no suspect information has been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
