Nadia here: It's been a pleasure maintaining this page and organizing our get-togethers at various restaurants around Springfield! With me moving away to go to grad school, this page will no longer be monitored or updated. Thanks to everyone who has been a part of our RPCVs of Springfield community.

🌍 Happy Peace Corps Day!!🌎
Celebrated every March 1st, National Peace Corps Day commemorates the day President John F. Kennedy established the Peace Corps agency. This day is meant to celebrate the ways in which the Peace Corps and all its volunteers, employees, host families, and communities foster connections that contribute to meaningful change worldwide.
This year we look to our membership, Peace Corps Ukraine staff, counterparts, host families, and 3,500 Ukraine Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and give a heartfelt THANK YOU! This year has been devastating for our Ukrainian families, coworkers, and communities, but our community has shown up. You have funded Individual First Aid Kits. You have purchased cookbooks for community grants. You have proudly worn the Ukrainian tryzub and colors. You have shared social media posts and written op-eds. You have urged your representatives to support Ukraine, and some of you have even sponsored Ukrainians to come to the United States.
In the past year you have shown what it means to be a RPCV. You have embodied the Peace Corps mission of promoting world peace and friendship. Слава Україні!
