It sounds cliche, but watching a kid catch a fish, any fish, but especially their first fish, is the best part of our jobs.
Thanks Watershed Committee of the Ozarks, Inc. for hosting as we led Rogersville 5th graders on a field trip around the park! Stream critters, fishing, guided hike, geology - this trip had it all!

What do we do about these problems?
1. Riverbank erosion - conduct riparian plantings.
2. Nutrient runoff - create personalized nutrient management plans for homeowners to reduce fertilizer runoff.
3. Litter - host river cleanups, removing thousands of pounds of trash each year.
4. Failing septic tanks - educate homeowners on septic maintenance and provide rebates to encourage routine pump outs.
5. Invasive species - fund invasive species removal projects.
