Artisan Coffee Roaster serving the DC Metro Area Cervantes Coffee is an artisan roaster specializing in single origin coffees from Central America, South America, and Africa.
We specialize in these regions because these are the parts of the world that we know best. For years we have worked with small producers and farmers to increase their abilities to access better markets and acquire much needed finance for their production needs. Today we are partnering with many of these farmers to bring their coffee directly to consumers. We are slowly but surely moving to "farmer direct trade" and building new and exciting relationships through coffee.
Bolivia Peaberry is a great Specialty Single Farm Organic coffee that we are releasing today at the Roastery. Bolivia Peaberry is a medium roast coffee with cupping notes of Vanilla, Brown Sugar and Almonds with silky after taste. Currently available a the shop and online.

This robust Bourbon Barrel Coffee Porter was aged in Heaven Hills barrels for ten months and steeped in a blend of Brazilian and Nicaraguan. Nutty and chocolate notes from the coffee additions blend perfectly with the vanilla characteristics from the bourbon barrel aging.
In addition we now have Cervantes Coffee Roasters] award winning cold brew on nitro! If you’re feeling adventurous we can mix the two.

Japanese iced coffee it is brewed with hot water over ice. The freshness of the brew is what sets it apart, brewing the grounds on hot water allows to extract a full range of flavors, just like brewing regular coffee. What it makes the difference is that brewing over ice the coffee cools down quickly without losing the flavor.

This wonderfully bright and fruity new coffee comes from one of our partners .
This lot follows suit with the wave of groups now experimenting with various methods of “anaerobic” processing. It follows all the same steps as a typical naturally processed coffee, except after the coffee is floated, it is placed into special plastic bags, flushed with carbon dioxide and nitrogen gas, and monitored over 3-7 days until fermented adequately.
