I have been on a little speaking circuit the last week. January 29, I was honored to speak as the dinner speaker at the Cover Crop Conference in Decatur. My topic was Soil Biology, Izaak Walton League, and stories about my trips. The moderator indicated the conference had over 280 attendees. Feb 2 Chicago Farmers had their Land Fair in Joliet. I spoke with Dr. David Bane on Grass fed beef.
I got to do a road trip with 2 Board members from Sangamon Conservancy Trust to meet in Champaign Urbana with a great Friend to brainstorm about growing our organization. It was a very positive day for our Board.
On Monday this week, I was interviewed by Farm Journal magazine on Estate Planning issues for farmers in 2012.
2012 has some interesting planning considerations.

The first weekend in February, the Chicago Farmers had their Farmland Investment Fair. They had me speak 3 times that day - once on Grass Fed beef and twice on Tax free Exchanges. Thanks to Rich Schell for asking me to speak.
